All bark and Bite RW

So now that the Christmas season is upon us, every blogger and their mother is making bark.  Most of them are making peppermint bark because peppermint is to Christmas as pumpkin is to Thanksgiving.

Channeling my inner SAT’s there for a minute.  Sorry.  No, I’m not really sorry, but I am sorry for apologizing when I wasn’t really sorry in the first place.

Moving on.

I have no problems with bark.  Unless it’s the dogs’ incessant barking, which I swear they do these days non freaking stop.

Anyway, moving on again.

Let’s not get confused, this post is actually about books.


According to Supermom’s Superblog, today is Kids’ Reads.  Participating bloggers post about books their kids are reading.  Hence the name.  Kids’ Reads.  Right then.  We’re all up to speed.

My little fellow is one and currently his favorite thing to do with a book is either to slam it shut or to crawl all over it.

So I’d like to discuss a book that might be best suited for a slightly older child or even two children.

So where did we leave off on Monday? Oh right . . . a muffin recipe or the Husband eating Lamb’s Quarters aka a weed growing in the back yard. Well, since no one weighed in I am picking the muffins. Don’t fret my pets, the Husband will still tell you all about his foraging adventure. I just don’t know when that will be. Feel free to bug him about it as I’ve already edited, resized and watermarked the pictures.

As much as I loved the donuts that tasted like muffins, I actually prefer muffins that taste like muffins.
